I’m really enjoying learning how to use gelatos! I’m trying them out in my art journal and wondering what kind of paper I’m supposed to be using. What paper is best to use with gelatos?
I’m going to keep watching YouTube videos and experimenting … but in the meantime here are some more examples from my ever-present art journal! (I’m carrying that thing around and collaging and drawing and painting my heart out!).
This is my favorite so far!
My next favorite:
One of my first attempts at flowers!
I like this, not going to try to improve this … afraid of screwing it up.
A background using gelatos and a stamp that I carved myself. Don’t know what to do with this one!
I’m thinking of creating my own page on Facebook but I haven’t worked up the nerve. I’m also thinking of doing some Art Abandonment (theres a group for this on Facebook) once I get a grown up phone and can take pictures of what/where I abandon.
So many thoughts, so little time!
Here are few faces that I worked on using water soluable graphite.
I’ve been thinking and wondering why I don’t write more with my posts. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t get ‘wordy’ on my posts because I’m just private. I want to be like everybody elsst and write cool posts with meaning and insight. I guess I’ll just have to work up to that.
The reason I started the blog up again was I needed something for me to focus on. A commitment to AEDM would mean that I had a purpose, a goal. It would (and does) keep me focused on doing something good. Its not much but its a place to share what I work on and hopefully get feedback.
I was looking through my art journal this morning and took a bunch of pictures to share. The pictures are dark but this is something I’ve done that I like.
(What kills me is how dark my photos are turning out!!)
I’ve discovered water soluble graphite!
Happy November! Its been whole year since I’ve posted anything. I decided to try to start blogging again and thought this would be a good time to start!
Two trees to start off with. I’m new to watercolor but I like how the black pen makes everything look brighter. PS. It took forever to get this right. You are looking at the third attempt.
I like this tree too.
Here are more pictures from my art journal. The last one is blurry so I’ll apologize for that right off. I’d like to have something different tomorrow.
Happy Shopping, Everyone! Enjoy! I do. not. plan. on shopping today. Lots of people love it but i don’t think it’s for me. The thought of it makes me so tired. I wonder if everyone would mind getting something from Amazon this year??
Well, November is rockin’ right along. Trying to put something out every day has been a challenge for me. I tend to work on stuff and if I’m not done in a day or two, I’ll move on. It drives me crazy that I’m like that. I’ve been working on a painting that I’ll post a picture of tomorrow. Its colorful, going in my kitchen and I’m really happy about how its turning out. And its even taken me more than two days!
