More Gelatos!

I’m really enjoying  learning how to use gelatos!   I’m trying them out in my art journal and wondering what kind of paper I’m supposed to be using.  What paper is best to use with gelatos?

I’m going to keep watching YouTube videos and experimenting …  but in the meantime here are some more examples from my ever-present art journal! (I’m carrying that thing around and collaging and drawing and painting my heart out!).

This is my favorite so far!

My next favorite:

One of my first attempts at flowers!

More flowers!

I like this, not going to try to improve this … afraid of screwing it up.

A background using gelatos and a stamp that I carved myself.    Don’t know what to do with this one!

Art Every Day Month – AEDM – Day 27

I have been creative the last few days however I don’t have pictures to show for it!   I’ve also been busy with all the family/Thanksgiving stuff.  I’ve been crocheting some Christmas gifts,  so there’s that.  I’m afraid the Art Every Day Month might die off with a whimper rather than a bang!

So, to sort of kick off the Christmas season,  I wanted to share that I ran into someone special last week when I was doing my Thanksgiving shopping.    I’m on the soup aisle,  pushing my cart past the chicken noodle …. and there he was!!

Santa!!! I know him!!! And here’s proof!

Of course,  you would have thought that this man would have been the crankiest on the planet but he and his wife were so sweet.   I know it must have taken them about 2 hours to get through the store.    While I was busy acting like I was seven,  he reached into his pocket and gave me his card.     Now I had proof!   That I met the real deal!!

AEDM – Day # 17 …. Its the Holiday season!

Oh yes,  its that time of year again.   Its the holiday season!  Whoo Hoo!   Every year,  my sister, mom, daughter and I get together for our annual “ornament exchange”.     We will pick a night and a restaurant and go have dinner and exchange ‘ornaments’.  I keep putting the word ‘ornaments’  in quotes because its turned into a regular gift exchange.    And its turned into an expensive experience.

So in an effort to keep costs down,  I decided to get creative and make something I can give instead of spending a whole lot of dough.  But it did cost me in time,  more than I expected.    But that’s ok.  I’m really pleased on how they turned out.

I guess following directions really does work!  🙂
